A shop that sells the shape, not the shine
The Glass Gallery is an online retailer in Thane, Maharashtra selling wall mirrors and
decorative glass — 44 pieces at present, split between bathroom and vanity mirrors and mirrors bought for the
wall itself. We sell online and ship across India; there is no counter to walk into.
Why a mirror shop and not a homeware shop
Mirrors are sold badly almost everywhere. A listing shows a photograph of a bright room, gives one dimension,
and leaves the buyer to guess at the rest. Then the piece arrives and it is four inches wider than the wall allowed
for, or the frame is painted steel in a bathroom that stays damp nine months of the year.
We narrowed the catalogue to one category so the listings could carry the things that actually decide a purchase:
the height and the width, the frame material, whether the glass is tempered, and whether the piece hangs in one
orientation or two. An irregular mirror has a top and a bottom. A 30 inch circle needs a fixing that a plaster plug
will not give it. Those are the sentences we would rather write than another paragraph about ambience.
What we stock
Bathroom and vanity
Rectangles, arches, circles and one backlit LED mirror, from
16 to 36 inches. Rust-treated and aluminium frames, because a painted steel frame in an Indian bathroom shows its
age at the corners inside two years.
Decorative wall mirrors
Irregular and free-form outlines, sunburst and scalloped
frames, small accent pieces, and sets of three and four meant to hang as a group.
How we describe things
Every description on this site is written here, from the specification of the piece. Where a figure is not
stated by the maker we leave it out rather than estimate it, and where a material behaves in a particular way
— rattan varies across the weave, an antique finish is uneven by design, matte black shows dust — the
description says so before you buy rather than after.
We do not publish customer reviews on this site, and there are none to find here. When there is a genuine
review programme running, it will be labelled as one.

amount payable and nothing labelled tax is added at checkout. A GST tax invoice is available on request —
